Middle School Chorus Fest
General Info:
Who- 7th and 8th grade select chorus students
What- Middle school chorus fest
When- Friday May 6
Where- Montoursville Area High School 7:00pm. Admission fee $3.00 and $1.00 (this may change)
How- To be selected for Chorus fest you must audition, and then learn your music after school with Mrs. Tiede or on your own prior to the festival.
Audition times:
-Thursday February 24th- Before and After school
-Friday February 25th- Midday, Before and after school
Audition sign-ups are posted on my door
Audition Material:
-Sight singing (you can get 15 free sight singing exercises to practice on Sightsingingfactory.com)
-Homeward bound Download Homeward boundmusic selection- Measure 11-26
-Aural recognition- I play notes on the piano and you sing them back to me on "mah mah mah"
General Info
-Students should leave with a parent or guardian after the concert in the evening. If transportation home is an issue, please let Mrs. Tiede know so we can find a solution.
-Students are asked to bring a bag lunch and a drink on the day of the festival (no glass containers). Snacks and dinner will be provided.
-Concert attire will be BLACK AND WHITE dress clothes (bring the dress clothes, but wear comfortable clothes):
Girls: solid black and white dresses, slacks, skirts, blouses, and low shoes (no high heels).
Boys: Solid black and white dress pants, collared shirt, and dress shoes (no jeans or sneakers)
